Spotted Arrays

Due to the decrease in pricing for commercially available arrays, the Duke Microarray Facility is discontinuing most services associated with the spotted array printing and spotted array sample processing that we have offered in the past starting December 2011. We are only processing projects that are wrapping up at this time. Affymetrix and Agilent arrays and array processing have dropped in price over the past years such that it is cheaper to run commercial arrays and often genome oligonucleotide sets are not longer available due to decrease in demand. We will no longer be maintaining the OmniGrid 300 arrayer. The MAUI hybridization chambers have also been discontinued by the company thus we can not offer this type of hybridization method. We will continue to offer very limited hyb-only processing (lifterslip hyb) for customer provided spotted arrays, so please check with Laura-Leigh Rowlette for this type of service.
