The mission of the Genome Sequencing & Analysis Core Resource is to promote advance in biology by providing to researchers complete genomic solutions with the latest and most complementary technologies readily available. We provide services for traditional capillary sequencing, high-throughput next-generation sequencing, and various data analyses, both across Duke University campus and across the world. We offer services on seven sequencers at the moment. Our instrumentation includes a ABI 3730XL™ DNA Analyzer, two Roche 454GS-FLX plus from Life Sciences, two Illumina sequencers (one HiSeq™ and one GAIIx™), one ABI SOLiD 5500xl™ , one Ion Torrent PGM, as well as one PacBio RS. We have experience in a wide range of applications, such as de novo genome sequencing, targeted re-sequencing, metagenomics, transcriptome profiling, and epigenetic marker sequencing. We help researchers with their project plan, providing them with the most cost effective and appropriate solutions with our available platforms to reach their goal. Our Core Resource provides start-to-finish partnership with investigators that includes consultation, sample preparation, library construction, DNA sequencing, post-run quality control, and in-depth bioinformatics analyses.
