Academics

The IGSP Undergraduate Program provides an educational foundation for undergraduates interested in the genome sciences and their implications through the Genome Revolution FOCUS cluster and other courses. For some students, the program experience is extended by providing research and professional development opportunities complementary to their coursework. Students may conduct research during the academic year and participate in the IGSP Summer Research Program. The program is designed to encourage undergraduates to learn more about the genome sciences as well as their impact on society, with the goal of sparking in them a genuine passion for research, providing them with the skills and background needed to be successful in independent investigations, and encouraging them to take the steps necessary to pursue research careers.
